EACH

The New Homes Group are proud supporters of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. Since 2016, TNHG have raised almost £304,000 for EACH. EACH is a charity that is close to The New Homes Group.

They offer care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and support families across Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. EACH offers families flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support, including where their child dies – at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton (Cambridge), The Nook (Norfolk) and The Treehouse (Ipswich). The Nook was opened by Royal Patron The Princess of Wales in November 2019.

The charity prides itself on its family-centred approach, caring not only for children and young people but also their parents, carers, brothers, sisters, grandparents and sometimes friends. Services provided include end of life care, symptom management, short breaks (respite care), wellbeing activities, therapies, counselling, spiritual support, specialist play, bereavement support and volunteer services in the family home.
These services are tailored, meaning everything EACH does is informed by the needs and wishes of the children and families they care for. This care can be delivered at home, in hospital, or at a hospice. EACH is a lifeline at an incredibly difficult time.

Funding Neuro

Funding Neuro exist to spearhead some of the most exciting new research into serious neurological conditions, supporting clinicians and researchers to bring new, revolutionary treatments to patients.
The New Homes Group have been supporting Funding Neuro since 2014, this support has enabled the charity to fund some of the most advanced and effective research for neurological medicine in the world.
It was Funding Neuro’s work with DIPG that brought the charity to the organisations attention. Beautiful Daisy Brooks, a local girl was diagnosed with the devastating condition. TNHG helped Funding Neuro raise funds for a clinical trial of a treatment for DIPG that has shown life extension, something that has not been achieved in over 60 years.
David Mulligan, Chief Executive Officer of Funding Neuro said “We are a charity with big ambitions, but these are born from a need to find solutions for some of the most devastating conditions. We have achieved so much over the past eight years but none of this would have been possible without the support of The New Homes Group.
They understand what we need to move forward and their support has enabled us to do just that. I truly believe their support will be rewarded with treatments for Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease, brain cancer and a research and treatment centre that will accelerate treatments for all neurological conditions.
